Samuel Kinsley left home in his youth, going to Canada and marrying there. There is no record of his ever having returned to the States and almost nothing is known about him by those now living.  A journal kept by Cephas in 1847, giving an account of his trip to Illinois and back to Vermont through Canada states that Samuel lived in Simcoe, where he visited him at that time.
