Here at NTC we have a variety of activities available for your use such as: An outstanding EM Club and PO Club (Bldg 193) A 24 lane bowling alley) A 20 table pool hall (Bldg 85) A complete bobby shop An automotive hobby shop (Bldg 189) 2 complete gymnasiums (Bldgs 210 & 271) A 9 hole golf course (Near gate 1) An outstanding library (Bldg 177) A football field & 1/4 mile track Tennis courts Hand ball, racket ball and squash courts (Bldg 219) A boat-dock for boat rentals A Baskins Robbins ice cream parlor (Bldg 1) A recreation gear rental facility (Bldg 32)
b. In the San Diego area you can visit the following: San Diego stadium for football and baseball (take Interstate 8 East) San Diego Sports Arena for everything in the way of entertainment from rodeos to rock concerts (Within walking distance from NTC) Sea World Balboa Park & Zoo also contains many museums and civic activities Old Town San Diego (San Diego in the past) San Diego Wild Animal Park (Interstate 15 North) Many fine beaches Scripps Aquarium Space Theater & Science Center Plus, there are a myriad of activities to visit in the greater Los Angeles area, check with Special Services in Bldg 85. c. Special Services. The Special Services activities available at NTC are probably the finest you will find anywhere. Not only are discount tickets available for major league sporting events, but special membership cards are available (free of charge) for attractions such as Sea World, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and many others. Free discount coupons for sportfishing, Belmont Park and others are also available. In addition to these discount tickets, Special Services also issues camping, fishing and other sporting goods equipment, boats, outboard motors, sail boats, etc. Hobby shops, such as ceramics, woodwork and automotive repair, to mention a few, are all available. These are just a few samples of what is available. Check with Special Services in Bldg. 85 and take advantage of the services available.
